Pimpri, Maharashtra: On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, Vidarbha Sahayog Mandal organized the “Chaitra Sur Sangam” program featuring Hindi and Marathi film songs at Vidarbha Bhavan in Nigdi.Twenty-five singers from Vidarbha enlivened the event with performances of patriotic songs, abhangs, qawwalis, and romantic Hindi-Marathi songs. Songs like “Jai Jai Maharashtra Maza” and “Shramikho Ghya Ithe Vishranti” received great applause. The program was presided over by the Mandal’s president, Dr. Digambar Ingole, and inaugurated by Rajan Lakhe, President of the Maharashtra Sahitya Pimpri-Chinchwad Branch.Former Deputy Mayor Shailaja More, Shaligram Tayde, Dilip Deshmukh, Sarangdhar Palhade, and others were present. The event began with the worship of the idols of Gajanan Maharaj and Sant Tukdoji Maharaj. Sulekha Kapse performed the patriotic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo”.Meanwhile, Ashok Takle, Sunil Gulhane, Ramesh Pawar, Deepak Jadhav, Babita Gavande, Narhari Wagh, Narendra Iche, Shivaji Ghode, Mangesh Zhilpe, Muralidhar Bholankar, Praveen Kurlkar, Yogesh Wagh, Dr. Prashant Jivatode, Satish Hatgade, Anil Khawale, Ravindra Mohod, Gajanan Shrikhande, Dnyaneshwar Kale, Rohini Panchale, Mrunal Bholankar, Yogesh Gavande, and Hemant Mishra performed songs. Vilas Wankhade conducted the program, technical support was provided by Sunil Gulhane, and the vote of thanks was given by Dilip Deshmukh.
